Instructions on how to use the classified site

Step 1:
Register as a user:
To register, click on the button that says "Register". Fill in all fields as required (fax number is optional). Your email address is of utmost importance as this will allow potential buyers to email you directly from your adverts! The username and password fields are known only to yourself and you should keep these secret and please ensure that you remember them for future use. The username and password should be a maximum of 10 characters, contain no spaces and can be alpha, numeric or alphanumeric (recommended) and is CasE SeNsitIve. Once completed, click on "register". You only need to register once and on subsequent times, only log in.

Step 2:
Log in:
Type in your username and password. If you are logging in for the first time, the computer will ask you if you want it to remember your details. It is recommended that you choose "Yes" - By choosing "Yes", on subsequent times that you log in, once you have typed in your username, your password will automatically appear. Click on "Login".

Step 3:
Placing an advert:
To place an advert, follow the simple instructions. On subsequent times of usage, click on "Place an ad". Choose the main section you want to place an advert in. On the next screen, choose a sub category from the drop down list. Fill in all the fields as required. To place an image, simply browse through your computer, and select the image file that you want to upload and double click on the file name. Please remember that images should be kept to as low a file size as possible. The larger the image, the longer it takes to view! The description field can contain as much copy as you want. A good idea is to type this field out in "Word" format and then just copy and paste this across to the classified section.

Step 4:
Manage your ads:
Once you have ads on the site, you are able to edit and delete them. Every time that you log on, a list of your adverts will appear on the screen. Here you can see when you placed the advert, at what price your item was placed and how many times your ad has been viewed. To edit your advert (change price, description, etc.), click on the green briefcase and follow subsequent instructions. To delete an advert (if the item has been sold, etc.), click in the last column "delete". You can delete your adverts one at a time or many at a time.

Step 5:
Change your profile:
If your personal details have changed, please click on "My Profile" and then change and save your info as necessary. Please do not change your username and password! If you have to change your username and password, please ensure that all adverts that have been placed under that username and password have been deleted off the site!!

Step 6:
Replying to an ad:
Should you wish to replay to an ad on the site, simply phone or use the simple email facility at the bottom of that page. Remember that there is also a search facility at the top right hand corner of each page where you can search via whatever key words you might have in mind.
